Space Trader is a strategy game in space. It is a port of the Palm Pilot game “Space Trader” by Pieter Spronck, which is inspired by David J. Webb’s PalmPilot game SolarWars (which in turn is based on Matt Lee’s game DopeWars) and the 80’s classic 3D strategy game Elite (though it does not have Elite’s 3D flight mode). Space Trader is a port of the Palm OS game of the same name, created by Pieter Spronck. A classic among Palm gamers of the era, it was named Freeware Game of the Year by Handheld Computing in 2000. This Android port faithfully reproduces the original game. Having played both Space RPG games, Star Nomad Elite is the closest gameplay-wise that I could find to fill that void. It's a shame what happened with Space RPG. The developer used assets from a different game without permission and the whole situation got messy. There's threads about it here if you do some digging. Space Agency may not be as deep of a game or have the same type of graphics and physics but it is a fun game that you can play on your mobile devices. Developed for both Android and iOS, Space Agency can be played on many mobile devices. Star Traders is a turn-based strategy role playing game (RPG) inspired by games such as Space Trader, Master of Orion, Elite and many other classic titles. If you enjoy retro games, adventure and tactics games, Action RPG or Sci-fi RPG with complex depth like Master of Orion, you may enjoy the Star Traders space trading simulation.
